I will always ask, yes you hit top, bottom or sides but the moment you strike, do you hit middle then slide to where you want or straight onto it?

I have APA on Sunday. I'm going to go early and try some of these. I'm a 4 but I don't hit the cue ball any where but middle, low or high. my english is actually how I angle the cue on the object ball
