A lot of women say they lose themselves when they have a baby, and I was so determined not to let that be me. I’ve made a real effort to keep getting out of the house and not just stay cooped up and I’m proud of that. But if I’m being honest, there’s still a part of me that feels missing. The ocean has always been such a huge part of who I am. It’s where I feel most alive, most grounded, most like myself. And lately, I’ve felt that absence deeply. Between quiting my shark diving job and not being cleared to get back in the water yet because of my stitches, it’s like a piece of me has been on pause. And then there’s this new piece of my heart, Ezra. I don’t even want to leave his side. Even if I was cleared, I’m not sure I’d be ready to be out there without him unless he’s strapped to my chest somehow, which… if you know me, I’d try 😂 The newborn stage has been both incredibly hard and unbelievably sweet. I’m soaking it in, but I’d be lying if I said I’m not craving that reconnection with the ocean and with myself. #ocean #momoife #newborn #momtok #babytok
