As a former installer, they are called guide rail not guard rail. They are designed to guide you along the shoulder instead of busting thru & dying

Civil engineering here…this woman has no idea what she’s talking about. Any vehicle driving at that speed crashing perpendicular to guide rails will blow through them.

🙄 Those barriers are not designed for a head on impact. They won't stop any vehicle at that angle 🙂. They are designed to collapse from a side impact to slow the vehicle and bring it to a stop🤓
