I work at a beach in New Jersey. We had an 18 yr old die from walls caving in on him. We no longer allow kids to dig past their knees. Prayers and condolences to this family. Heartbreaking.

I was raised by the beach and never heard of this. We used to dig holes as deep as we could. So sad 😢

I was just telling my supervisor this a few week back! When someone ask why I don’t like beaches if I’m from Florida. This is why I’ve heard so many stories. Many where the person is never found also
