@middleeasteye: Israeli historian Ilan Pappe spoke to Middle East Eye about the two strategies Israeli policymakers have for Gaza and explained why these plans are doomed to fail. Pappe cautioned that Israel would persist in its war in Gaza over the next fifteen months unless there is decisive action from the international community, the Arab and Muslim world, and the Global South. He said, “The next 15 months mean that the Israelis will continue to be in Gaza, continue to commit their crimes against the people there, and so much depends on the international reaction, especially the Western reaction, that have the ability to stop it, well, so far have not done enough to do this. So maybe it's up to the Arab world, the Muslim world, the Global South to do something, because the next 15 months, as far as Israel is concerned, is very much of the same and much worse.”
