And if your lease doesn’t specify that you have to pay for a deep clean they shouldn’t be charging for that either as long as it was clean on move out

I would do both. Better to cover your bases. And send it certified so they have to sign for it so they can’t say they never got it

Check your lease. Usually you’re only required to to leave the apartment “broom clean”. Deep cleaning is on them.

still make them pay, they only had 21 days, they didn't follow the rules so they can't keep any, and deep cleaning isn't something they can charge for.

When I moved out of my home, they kept 1100 of my 2200 deposit..for cleaning. Even though I got an email thanking for keeping it clean.

A standard cleaning fee can’t be deducted from a security deposit in my state. Check the laws for yours.
