@middleeasteye: Rashid Street in the north of Gaza is now a military checkpoint that divides the northern and southern sectors of the area. Photographer Abdelrahman Alkahlou came across a famished family who had escaped from north Gaza. Hanan describes how there is nothing left, and they needed to leave due to hunger. Hanan and her siblings were waiting for their father's return; he had been apprehended upon leaving the checkpoint, subjected to interrogation, and subsequently set free.
