I booked my hotels months in advance and it wasn’t expensive at all I think the most expensive one came out to $600 for 4 nights in Kyoto.

Actually business hotels are the GOAT IN JAPAN. Got a really good deal in a really good area. Plus once you get a confirmation from Priceline call ahead the actual hotel to see if they got it mine did

tip for those using 3rd party sites to book: call to see if the hotel charges a 3rd party booking fee. i got charged $100 for doing that 😭
