@jharbs_: In a world often clouded by trauma and in hate, my wife and I have finally chosen a different path—a path led by the pure, childlike love we share. Despite the scars of our upbringing and the darkness that sometimes surrounds us, we refuse to apologize for embracing the innocence and joy that define our marriage. Our journey together has not been without its challenges. We carry the weight of past traumas and experiences that have shaped & even hindered us (including the trauma we’ve put one another through) Yet, in each other's arms we find unconditional love, friendship and strength all in a judgment free environment to heal our inner child. Our love is not bound by the constraints of adulthood or the criticisms/judgement of the world. Instead, it thrives in the simple pleasures of laughter, playfulness, and unconditional support. We cherish the moments of mini brands lol, shared jokes, and the trust in each other's eyes that reflects the wonder of our inner child. Some may view our love as naive or unrealistic, but we see it as a story of healing our broken self’s and a reminder that amidst the chaos and cruelty, there exists a sanctuary of love and acceptance in yourself & your partner. It is a love that knows no boundaries, that can overcome the pain of the past, & molds better individuals. I will never apologize for the childlike love my wife and I share. It is a testament to our resilience, but more importantly, our hard work in therapy. Through the last 1-2 years in therapy we have healed and worked w wounds that we didn’t even know still had a hold and affect on us today. We choose to face, fix, and heal.
