you could try second skin. its a clear film used by tattoo artists to protect the fresh tattoo. just put the foundation under it and boom, nice and covered

For anyone needing to cover up any tattoos for future reference, Dermablend concealer/leg body makeup is the best!! It's waterproof & you literally can't see the tattoo underneath no matter how dark!!

You can also find Tegaderm rolls that are way bigger than this, we actually use it to the cicatrisation part also !

Dumb question, but would you tell the onsen when you arrive that you have a tattoo but have it covered up? Or just act like it’s not there since you can’t see it?

You can buy larger ones, opsite flexigrid or IV300 are the same kind of dressing, I got some on amazon. They really help for when I had a fresh one and had to work. I get covered in all sorts lol.
