I know a can of tinned fish doesn’t sound like much, but every time I see a can of Eagle Coin ⾖豉鯪⿂ (fried dace with salted black beans) at the shops, I am always inclined to buy it. It brings back childhood memories of dinner time, when we’d have this as an add on to all the other shared dishes we were having. You can eat this as is, and we’d usually have it with with rice or congee. Nostalgia aside, I think it tastes delicious. An alternative to eating it straight out of the can is to stir fry it with leaf lettuce! Doesn’t take long at all, and goes superrrr well with rice.
