@coach_mundy_: I’ve been there. Where I used to feel I had to have at least 10-20lbs added for it to be considered meaningful progressive overload when I first started working out. But I mean.. “progressive” is literally in the the phrase - I used to be more like “hey ima start with 8 reps then do this until I get 12”… you can do that if you want, but that’s just a bro method where they’ll tell you that’s more effective. I personally prefer not do chase reps, especially when they’re upwards 8+ - Again, nothing is wrong with chasing more reps, but I would much rather incrementally add weight. Do something for maybe 5 reps, continue to slowly increase weight until eventually I can only do 4, then I’ll stay there until I hit 5 reps again. Not really complicated. - But moral of the story, PO doesn’t need to be large increments. Something as little as 2.5lbs is still progress.
