@agoodtable: Replying to @Deni Let’s talk containers! I would love to start using more glass jars & containers…. any recommendations feel feel to suggest! Fyi, the current deli containers I use are 100% reusable and I tend to only reheat food in ceramic or glass bowls. #ingredientprep

As long as you aren't putting warm things or reheating inside plastic honestly it's fine for cold storage

I love Weck jars — easy to use, come in tons of different sizes, pretty affordable (relatively speaking), and they really make you feel put together lol

I don’t understand people’s concern on plastic usage. How many ppl out there don’t know they can reuse this?

Isn’t it wasteful with the plastic?

I‘ve been using the IKEA 365+ line for their glass storage containers. The lid is still plastic, but they‘re also great for freezing. And Fido jars for anything pickled or fermented!

can't say I'm worried about microplastics but I do have a few dozen Mason jars around for canning and I find them very versatile

I think it’s really classy that you cut your tape instead of tearing it. 🥂

I got like 40lbs of chicken thighs and marinated/froze it into portions for me and my dog! It was an awesome idea

I'm on the idea that glass is only to reheat food while plastic is used to keep things cold in the fridge

I tried glass, bought enough to replace all my plastic. unfortunately we broke them all over time by accident. was really unfortunate

I’d recommend glass containers for fridge and room temp . On the other hand , stainless steel for freezing

I’m a good ol’ fashion mason jar girl, but I love the glass Brilliance line by Rubbermaid. Nothing beats the plastic “soup” containers.

Mason jars! A lot of foods already come in them (reuse) and They have tons of reusable lid options and like others said if you take the lid off before you heat it should be ok
