Why should I, as a seller, have to lose 8-10k of the equity I have in my house so that you can buy it? Buyer should have to pay their agent.

Well buyers will start self representing themselves. We are not really required to use one and you can just hire a lawyer for 500$ to make sure the contract is correct 🤷🏻♀️

Yes, it’s just terrible. Actually the seller’s pay the listing agent commission in which the listing agent shares their commission with the buyers agent but it’s seen as the seller paying both sides.
