Ford doesn’t recommend a flush until 100k on a lot of them. Funny thing is fords 10 speed transmissions rarely make it to 100k

2016 Toyota tundra. Toyota recommend service at 100,000 I bought the truck new I’ve been servicing my transmission every 50 K.

So what is a reasonable cutoff? I'm a 2nd owner at 79k. Assume 1st owner did warranty services, but no proof.

That’s funny. I’ve got a 2010 mustang gt. With 90k. I asked the dealer when it had 60k they said it’s not do till 100k..

My f-150s manual said service at 150K. Took to dealer at 145K and they refused to touch it for this exact issue. But the OEM interval is 150K?

I serviced a 4L60E the first time at over 100k and the fluid was black and the transmission shifted so much better after and still runs at 156k right now in a 2012 Canyon

Right now I have a 2012 F150 with a six speed automatic transmission. The fluid was changed at 95,000 miles the truck currently has 169,000 miles

This is generally a concern with actually flushing the transmission. Drain & fill or pan service w/filter has little risk, since you're only removing

The fight I had with FCA. They say never while ZF who makes them say 60k and a 1k service does not make a happy customer with how expensive fluid and filter are

Dumb question but wouldn't it be better to service and only need to buy new clutch packs? as opposed to that debris shredding the trans?

If it’s over certain mileage do fluid change, no pump or machine by hand. Flush takes out a lot more stuff
