1) Catholicism is based in the Vatican and led by the Pope, who has supreme authority and is considered infallible in certain teachings.   2) Eastern Orthodoxy, which includes the Greek and Russian Orthodox Churches, is governed collectively by bishops without a single central leader.   3) Oriental Orthodoxy, which includes the Coptic and Armenian Churches, has its own beliefs and practices and disagrees with the Council of Chalcedon's definition of Christ's nature from 451 AD.   Despite these differences, all three branches come from the early Christian Church and share key beliefs like the Trinity, the divinity of Jesus, and the importance of sacraments. #christianity #orthodoxy #protestantism #nicenecreed #church #traditions #scriptures #philosophy #☦️ #✝️ #🇻🇦 #orthodoxchristian #holytrinity #theology #religion #trinityexplained #apologetics #rejectheresy #monotheism #godthefatherjesuschristholyspirit #christianityistheonlywaytoheaven #churchfathers #saints #metaphysics #easternorthodoxy #logic #reason #amen #palamism #divinesimplicity #hesychasm #espitemology #saintgregorypalamas #pillarsoforthodoxy #easternorthodoxy #churchhistory #constantinople #greekphilosophy #neoplatonic #aristotelian #terminology #educationalpurposes #hypostaticunion #incarnation #trinitarianism #christology #catholicism #orientalorthodox #chalcedon #ecumenicalcouncils #localcouncils #councils #trinitariangod #ecclesiology #liturgy #rites #eucharist #alexandria #educationalpurposes

I'm still in the process of embracing the Orthodox phronema because, to be honest, adjusting to a mindset different from the one you were raised with, especially after coming from a Western Christian background, is challenging. I grew up in Western Christianity and later converted to Eastern Christianity. An Orthodox Christian can lose the Orthodox phronema. Unfortunately, many Orthodox Christians, especially online, have drifted away from this mindset. It's not just limited to online communities; even clergy, like priests, can be affected. This poses a threat to the unity within the Orthodox Church because it's the shared Orthodox phronema that binds Orthodox Christians together globally, transcending cultural differences. Additional information that I forgot to include:   The Orthodox mindset is rooted in Orthodox faith and teachings. One big thing about Orthodox teaching is it doesn't try to spell out every single theological belief and doesn't lean too heavily on logic. Sure, logic and reason have their place, but human logic has its limits and can't grasp God completely. We can get a sense of God through what He's made, but we can't fit Him into our human understanding. Speculating about God is like trying to make God in our own image. Instead, we only know God as He's shown Himself to us. #christianity #christology #catholicism #protestantism #orthodoxy #easternorthodoxy #phronema #mindset #psychology #spirituality #orthodoxchrisrian #churchtiktok #educationalpurposes #nohatejustfacts #holytrinity #amen #metaphysics #logic #philosophy #classicaltheism #theosis
