@jakealansales: Home-improvement sales guys: If you’re having a customer that is an EXTREME shopper.... to the point where they’re talking with multiple, multiple sales guys and instead of wanting to take a MEETING they just simply ask, "email me a quick quote". If you really want to SEPARATE yourself from the rest, because you know what YOU NEED TO DO is get your foot IN THE DOOR...... as SOON as you sit down the kitchen table, everything changes!!!!! It's like you enter a new vortex. This happened to me literally yesterday..... customer says, "hey, yeah..... just email me a quote"..... and I say, "Absolutely not...... I am NOT going to be in a pricing battle with a bunch of commission based sales reps battling for pricing by cutting corners to get you to move forward. This is your HOME. This needs to be done the CORRECT way, morally and ethically. I need to know MORE about YOU so we can do this EXACTLY the way YOU want...... " Then.... an instant change of pace..... it went from, "email me a quick quote," to "that completely make sense.
