During development, I also spoke to Jost Vacano about historical carbon arc lamps and hard light. Side fact: Jost told me that he was one the first to start using lamps indirectly and the studios were confused as to why he started pointing the lamps at the ceiling to bounce them softly. I went in the opposite direction again and illuminated almost everything with direct hard light creating an intermediate world of nostalgic, fairytale-like journeys and today’s technology.
