What to make when asked to bring something. Nutella knefeh dessert trays will be a hit with everyone. What other Pot Luck trays would you like to see? Nutella knefeh 2litres Full Cream Milk (cold) 1.5 cups cornflour 1 Cup Sugar 300ml thickened cream (cold) 2-3tbsp Nutella Handful of toasted hazelnuts crushed 2 packs biscuits of your choice Bowl of milk to dip biscuits Chocolate ganache 150ml thickened cream 250gm chocolate melts or a block chopped finely In a large pot pour milk, sugar and cornflour and whisk together while cold. Then place on high heat and keep whisking constantly till thickened and boiling point is reached (don’t stop whisking while pot is on the stove). Add Nutella and keep mixing for 4-5min on medium/high then reduce to medium heat and gradually add 300ml cold thickened cream while mixing. Lower heat and mix for about 3min. Increase to high for about 30seconds and switch off Assembly Work quickly as knefeh is best poured on biscuits while it’s still hot to prevent gluginess. Dip biscuits one by one and layer on a tray. I used 2 trays or you can use 1 large tray. Once first layer of biscuits is down, spread a thick layer of knefeh on top. Repeat process. Milk dipped biscuits, knefeh, milk biscuits, knefeh and finish off with milk biscuits. Set aside while you prepare your chocolate ganache. If you have a microwave, combine ganache ingredients and in 30 second to 1min intervals, heat the chocolate and cream slowly until chocolate just melts and becomes a smooth ganache. If you’re using a stove, heat cream on medium until little bubbles start to appear. Quickly add the chocolate and let it sit for about 30ml seconds then mix until smooth. Pour over biscuit tray and top with crushed toasted hazelnuts. Refrigerate for minimum 4 hours but preferably overnight. Serve cold. #dessert #potluckfood #partyfood #fatimahomran
