![app (tools?) vs art !! i’ve been getting several asks about what brushes and program i use so i figured i’d make a portfolio introduction-ish video to pin. i stole the video template and song off xhs girlies, shoutout to them App: Medibang Paint Pro. [not that i find it easier to use than other apps (trust me, i wish i could join the csp gang) but i’ve been using it since i started drawing digitally and ive been too comfortable with it in my workflow to bother changing] Brushes: I use the Pencil brush for probably 90% of my entire workflow, from sketching to lineart to rendering. does it blend well? debatable. but anything’s blendable if you color pick midtones enough to make a gradient 🧎 Hard pen’s pretty useful for when you need something more opaque than the pencil brush to make hard shadows, and airbrush is there for when you want to blend even softer than the pencil brush. edge pen works for smaller details, but i also do use a lot of CSP brush assets post-production for most of the details and ornaments. huuge shout out to CSP’s asset store, second best gift to the art community after the introduction of ctrl+z #medibang #medibangpaint #medibangpaintpro #CSP #clipstudiopaint #artprocess](/video/cover/7483525672485276935.webp)
