I talk to my 89y/o granddad like he’s one of my brothers, still crack jokes and call him my old man. He loves it so much lol gentle but blunt is the tone I strive for 😇

that "baby" talk is generally at a higher pitch. elderly have a hard time hearing that. I try to remember to lower my tone works better.

Same thoughts I hated that, but now taking care of an elderly and I noticed it means so much to her when I use the baby voice. It makes her so happy😂
