@monroeville_sunsets_: Watching horrors unfold in real time on my phone and then having to smile seconds later to play with my children, to go to work, to shop in the supermarket, I feel like I have to wear a mask to hide my true feelings at all times. We are seeing things we have NEVER seen before in our lives, on our screens, and yet we are also having to put on a brave face to our families whilst we are consumed with thoughts of people many shores away. The people of 🍉 need every voice, every act, every single piece of advocacy so they can see the international community are not just accepting and ignoring their suffering. The situation is dire, and we must never stop speaking about the people of 🍉. I will never become ‘desensitized’ so what im seeing, it shocks me every day. And im thousands of miles away, unabe to comprehend how anyone can deal with that day in, day out. It is simply unimaginable. But they are resilient and they are strong but they are only human, they cannot survive mass starvation and indiscriminate attacks. The world must unite to stop this madness.
