I have found in some cheaper or free books they have started doing virtual audio so it's read by AI. It is a bit horrifying... but free 😬

in AGGGTM the main character does the voices of everyone unless it’s tape recorded for which is when other voice actors speak or for the podcast in the book. So I’d say that series is a mix

The 4th category would be called a multicast. Graphic Audio is a production company that specializes in them, but most publishers do them.
