Its called zone 2 training. You burn fat for energy when walking. You burn glycogen when you run.

Plus I feel like running is instant cardio. The body has to just go. Walking, you gradually prepare the body for cardio. 🙋🏽♀️

I think the thing is that if you HATE running & still do it, it creates more stress & increases cortisol, hence you might gain weight?! But walking is easy & stress free
