I’ve been told this before, that my disability is an excuse when I’ve literally cried over the fact I’ll never be able to work my dream job even if I have the education for it. Which I do.

I either tell them my diagnosis and then don't get the job, or I tell them after and they say it's ok and then proceed to be mad when I show signs if said diagnosis. can't win either way.

when u said the seizures thing a big part of it is the lights! my mom has epilepsy & can't go into Walmart, gas stations, anywhere w/ buzzing lights

I literally had an employer tell my Dr they needed a schedule for my seizures because they didn't do intermediate absences.

I got lucky my restaurant is full of people who have disabilities, mostly ADHD/ASD :) it's reassuring I won't be marked down for needing a breather, but I don't like how the rest of the work world

My last hired me knowing I'd need to sit in a chair on bad days. On bad days I'd only sit when there were no customers and boss still called me lazy 🥰
