Not ex Mormon but Ex Jehovahs Witness (very similar). Getting over living in a constant state of “the world is ending any day” was an additional trauma as well as everything you mention here.

Yes! My therapist pushed me into being ocd with religion. My Scrupulosity was rewarded and praised by EVERYONE around me. My thoughts aren’t making sense, but… yes!

I grew up with this very language, saying “the only thing that matters… the only thing that is real is ..[insert church doctrine] … it was exactly this. I still view life like a game 😑

YUP. Except when I left, my world became real. I now feel everything acutely and I get overwhelmed with simple things like movies bc before I had distanced myself mentally from it all.
