Now after years of research and practice I finally feel confident in my stretching routines. 🙌 These routines are a great way to improve flexibility, prevent injuries, and promote overall well-being. Here are the most important tips: 1. Warm up before stretching: Start your stretching routine with a light warm-up to increase blood flow to your muscles. I do an easy 50 jumping jacks everytime! 2. Incorporate dynamic stretches: Dynamic stretches involve active movements that mimic the motions of the activity or sport you're preparing for. Examples include arm circles, leg swings, and walking lunges. 3. Target all major muscle groups: Make sure your stretching routine covers all major muscle groups for a balanced exercise. 4. Hold stretches for an appropriate duration: When performing static stretches, aim for 15 to 30 seconds per stretch. Remember to breathe deeply and relax into the stretch. 5. Avoid bouncing or forced movements: Bouncing or using momentum during stretches can lead to injury. Instead, focus on smooth and controlled movements. 6. Be consistent: Consistency is key when it comes to stretching. Aim to incorporate stretching into your daily routine or at least several times a week. Regular practice will yield better results over time. Remember, stretching should feel good and be a positive experience!
