"My dog is not good on leash" is something I hear all the time from people.⁣ ⁣ While some dogs can be more challenging than others to handle on a leash, what matters the most is the handler of that leash.⁣ ⁣ The most common thing I see is humans who lack the knowledge of how to handle a leash properly and what energy they need to project to get a dog to willingly follow.⁣ ⁣ Humans who have dogs who pull all over the place, react on leash, and basically pay no attention to their humans are almost always NOT projecting calm and confident energy.⁣ ⁣ That being said, it's tough to be calm and confident when nothing you try gets your dog to walk well on leash.⁣ ⁣ It's a combination of understanding how to apply leash pressure at the right times, what intensity that leash pressure should be, and how long to appy that pressure depending on the dogs behavior.⁣ ⁣ It's understanding how and when to disagree with certain behaviors as well as how and when to reward the behavior we want.⁣ ⁣ What is often not talked about is the overall relationship between the dog and human.⁣ ⁣ Many humans practice a follower position with their dog throughout the day.⁣ ⁣ They let their dog jump on them, invade their space, disregard the direction they give the dog, pet nonstop, pet at the wrong times, talk in a baby voice, and so on which all causes the dog to see the human as weak.⁣ ⁣ Then, all of a sudden, they expect the dog to show respect and listen to them on the walk.⁣ ⁣ I'm not trying to shame people because the information on how to lead a dog properly is very rare to find.⁣ ⁣ Most dog trainers I see are too busy trying to build up their egos with their specific style of training saying it's the best meanwhile from my perspective most don't truly understand dogs or know how to build an amazing relationship while keeping a dog in its most natural state.⁣ ⁣ The goal of this page is to teach you how to be a leader/parent-figure for your dog, how to build an amazing relationship with your dog, fulfill all of their instinctual needs, and keep the dog in its most natural state to live a life of freedom.⁣ ⁣ Way more content coming to help you achieve the relationship you've always dreamed of!
