It’s much safer to call your city water treatment center and have them do it. Like that they will be liable if anything break and not you.

My husband had to turn ours off once and found the hugest brown recluse guarding the valve. If I had been the one that found that the house would have flooded. Sorry house.🤷🏼♀️😂

Yeah i want to say that’s not technical your property.. I would just use the shutoff value within your home.. the curb stops are usually the town property and don’t want you shutting it off

as a plumber good thing to know when needed but the water authority in my area gets real mad when people touch the curb stops and your valve inside should work so check that first

water pipes will NEVER burst when anyone us home, the universe won't allow it. it has to happen when nobody will be home for many hours so it can cause the most damage 😂😂 in my experience anyway 😂

In our old house, the water busted inside the house while pregnant and when I was delivering my baby, the pipe busted outside the house. It was running while we were in the hospital for 2 days. 😮💨

Eh, you need to install your own. You are not supposed to touch the city equipment. A plumber can install a valve on your side for emergencies
