If the men played (4) 10 minute quarters, there would be media timeouts at the quarter change and under 5. This would result in 2 less media timeouts.

NCAAW do quarters to allow for momentum shifts/exciting plays at the end of quarters to try to increase watchability, not hating, this is actually why it’s done.
