You're not supposed. To use clear coat on your headlights.You send compound and polish will do the exact same thing

hey drew, pro tip. after the clear sets (a few days) throw a layer of ceramic coating on there. ck quarts to be specific. also you can use that on any black exterior trim that has faded!

Love it!! Just some tips if you do another: only sand up to 600/800 before clear (it gives it better machanical adhesion). And use a 2k clear. They sell it in aerosol for about $20

Word to the wise, this is a temporary fix. The more you do this the weaker the plastic gets and will end up needing to be replaced

Use 2k clear because it has a hardener in it that’s protects the headlights from weather and chemicals, 1k clear doesn’t have that hardener

Lil tip, if you have any type of oxidation on your aluminum rims water and vinegar is the best solution.
