As someone who dated someone for 8 years . Gave him two kids & not only worked hard to put him through school but even helped with his school work this is valid. Got his degree we split & is now married 😅

If a proposal happened now, my answer would be no. I'm not desperate and will not ridicule myself to be proposed to after almost a decade. It's not romantic, it feels like settling. I'd rather commit to the 'we don't wanna get married' bit and be a gf forever. I'm sad for my little self who dreamed of a perfect story and a dream wedding. I thought i'd be cinderella in her blue dress, but i'm the cinderella in rags.

I don’t believe this. Someone can treat you better in 4 weeks than someone did in 4 years. Saying that all men just settle for what is right there isn’t necessarily true for all men. Some have been ready but haven’t found the right person yet.
