😳 After visiting 10+ national parks this year, THIS was the one thing I never expected at Shenandoah National Park! We had to wait 45 MINUTES just to get into the park… on a WEEKDAY! 🚗🫠 We arrived around midday (late October), and only ONE entrance lane was operating, creating a long line of vehicles coming into merge from both side of the freeway waiting to enter. I’ve experienced crowds at other national parks, but never experienced this kind of wait to get in - especially at a smaller park. We entered through the Thornton Gap entrance just FYI. BUT HERE’S THE SURPRISING PART… 👇 Once we finally made it inside, everything was surprisingly smooth! 🙌 Driving Skyline Drive was easy, the scenic overlooks were incredible, and the rest of our visit didn’t feel particularly crowded at all.
