Mystic beach & botanical beach are my top two up that way! French beach is also an easy family friendly campsite up that way!

Matheson lake is a great hike loop, bring swim shorts and lunch and it’s good with kids.

You’ll want to take the kiddos to the beach in Parksville. They’ve got a huge kids playground beside the beach. Theres lots to do in Parksville and Qualicum.

If the kids like nature, Bamberton beach is very gentle and has things like moon snails and pipefish. Like a number of east coast beaches, it’s ideal for kids. Qualicum is also very popular
