As a 70s kid, I remember the patches you had to cut to the shape of the hole of your bike inner tube and a tube of glue. We also used tire inner tube as a float at the beaches good old days. 🥰

Oh my gosh my dad used to have big inner tubes like that with patches in them that we used to go float the river with I never knew that that’s how the patches got on there

Someone said the reason they don’t make things how they used to is because everything is cheaper and flimsy. So the rubber on a tire we have now is cheap and flimsy that this tool would melt it.
