That’s why TOD (Transit Oriented Development) and Density is important for Mass Transit to thrive. If you build transit but the infrastructure around it is still car centric and inaccessible is bad

I used to take the metro train from downtown to Santa Monica. It was so slow it would take me just as long to get there if I sat in traffic on the 10& drove. I got robbed on it too so never again.

Cypress/Lincoln has affordable/senior apartments next to it. The area is mostly composed of lower income Latino families, multigenerational housing, bunch of duplex/triplex, and ADUs.

It’s not one or the other. You’re right that there’s a lack of mixed use zoning but the rail lines are also inadequate. Most people in LA Ciunty don’t live near LA County’s rail system.
