If i feel unwell with a fever as an adult, i would take pain relief, so why would i make my child feel badly with one without giving them some paid medication too?

What about fevers that cause seizures, not cooling a child down or giving meds can trigger seizures if the body gets too hot

My oldest daughter had febrile convulsions with fever and at 3 she had a convulsion for over an hour and was admitted to hospital by ambulance. So yes I will always treat a fever 💀

Doesn’t the medicine just block the pain receptors for body aches ? I know fevers are good it means their body is fighting the sick but the body aches and discomfort can be managed, right ?

It definitely depends on how high the temp is but it’s funny that I always trusted my gut with this and I’ll let my children ride the fever providing I have a close eye on them and they seem ok
