Ingredients: 1. 5 Eggs 2. 200ml red wine 3. 1 cinnamon stick 4. 1 clove 5. 1 star aniseed 6. 2 tbs brown sugar 7. 2 tbs honey 8. 1.5 tbs Maggi soy sauce 9. 1.5 tbs Maggi oyster sauce 10. Dark soy sauce (to adjust colour of eggs) 11. 1 garlic clove halved 12. Ziplock bag Instructions: 1. Add water into a deep saucepan, bring to boil, add your eggs and cook for 7 mins. 2. Remove eggs and let them cool down before deshellling them. 3. In a mixing bowl, add ingredients 2 to 11 and mix well until well combined. 4. Take a ziplock bag, add your eggs then your marinade mixture and refrigerate overnight. 5. Add all ingredients into a deep saucepan, bring to boil and simmer over 15-20 minutes until you obtain a syrup while turning the eggs regularly to ensure that every part is well coated. 6. You can also adjust the colour of the egs by adding dark soy sauce for a dark brown colour. 7. Add all ingredients to a bowl and let your eggs sit in the syrup for a few hours in the fridge. (Minimum 4 hours) 8. You can also use the leftover syrup to stir fry your meat for a minn bwi or to finish off fried noodles. #mauritius #egg @juan_seato
