We have to wear steel toe with metatarsal guards. New company policy. I used to wear composite toe ariats and my feet didn't hurt after work but now the pain is top and bottom of my foot constantly.

dont know if its true or not but was once told with composite toe once the get a hard impact they can be compromised where as steel wouldnt be.

steel toe has been known to ground out if you work with electricity. and if you look up electric on a wedding ring it does the same to your toes

ide rather have composite especially for welding and the weight of composite is lighter. steel toe makes your feet sweat bad because the cold hot constantly changing

In Xray school they told us the steel toes would crimp the toes off so they would die. The composite springs back

Don't forget the difference between then when a heavy enough object is dropped on the toes. Steel toe is designed for a clean cut so the toes can be reattached. Composite smashes

they say don't wear steel toe with big cattle particularly bulls because someone had the steel toe bent down and sever the toe and by the time they could pry them out they couldn't reconnect them
