I have a small family business. I have to pay higher wages to cover staff travel. higher heating. product is more expensive. even snow clearing. it all adds up.

Real world example: my local curling paid $1700 gas bill in Jan. $540 of that was CT. How does that fit within the BoC numbers?

I thought the carbon tax money had to go back to the people, or to help people switch to greener Tech only?

we do pay for it but it's mostly the give me money tax that corporations put on their products when they have to raise their prices so let's say it should go up 1% they will raise it 12% instead

Unfortunately the premier of my province can’t be trusted to redistribute those funds responsibly 🙄 I wish Trudeau would spend the funds on our behalf honestly

Grocery chain profits (gross, net, including expenses) increased very significantly and bonuses to CEO’s and shareholders were also significant. Corporate greed is what had us paying more, not the CT

if people think that PP is going to get rid of the CT think again. either he is going to only take it away from business or they will replace the tax with something else. gov likes the cash flow

One could argue cooperations understand behaviour economics. My 1st instinct as a consumer when cost of living increases is to find ways to increase my income, not to decrease my consumption!

The Carbon Tax isn't about you and I. It's a tax on major industry. Your prov govt is supposed to use that money to improve life for Canadians. Instead they're using it to make the rich richer

We should all be for a carbon tax on the high carbon producers. Then we get a bigger cheque.
