Wish I had more time to pose properly cuz that damn dodgy shoulder shows 😭☆ (rushing to pack up after a shoot) my physical health has very much always been linked to my mental health, and my body image issues was always something I shyed from speaking about until recent years, I couldn't have done it without the wonderful people in my life supporting and encouraging me 🩷 my main focus now is building more muscle I already feel so much more alive and awake in my day to day , recovery for me hasn't only just been physical, but mostly mental . Brief mentions of my experience with topics of ED below , I won't be sharing weight numbers or graphic details. . I was quite athletic when I was younger + genetics i naturally ended up with a relatively strong build (for a kid anyway) and in my mid-late teens I started barely eating , Asian beauty standards at the time took a huge toll on my life, i saw it everywhere and it was all my friends were concerned about too ,and so I couldn't understand why no matter how much weight i lost I wasn't petite like my friends or the girls online or in ads I see omw home from school, I was so wasteful with food and would often bin the packed lunch I made when no one was looking, I also took on some more unhealthy habits i won't delve into detail publicly ,this continued on into my adult life i was always so exhausted , I have a bit of way to go for learning to love myself and life again, but i am very proud of the steps i have taken so far, i find it ironic and endearing that the very things I was insecure about as a teen, are features I am so proud of today at 23 ♡ . ♡ . #Fitness #tattoos #wasian #piercings #musclemommy (I'm working on it) #recovery #backtattoo - @zureealtv
