@kaitlynstaten: Sad thing is people dont get it even if i have a placard on display so they leave me really nice notes on my windshield 🥲 #disabledproblems
Hi! 👋 I design parking lots for a living. That first patch of concrete isn’t meant as a path, it’s for drainage!

i’m a property manager, you can request a specifically reserved space for you for better accessibility. they have to comply with fair housing and provide a reasonable accommodation

it's not a footpath that's why that's for water to flow go to the footpath

can we just talk about your arm strength and coordination though? 💪🏻 I see you pushing your chair and flipping the phone back and forth to keep the video going.

Girl, put in an accommodation request with your property manager! They can put in another accessible spot(or maybe reserved spot) for you RIGHT OUTSIDE your apartment!!

Thanks for sharing this stuff. I would have never thought about that. I’ve seen people park and take two spaces and now I wonder if it was for this reason!

At my last apartment, we had more people who needed the spaces than disabled spaces so they gave those folks dedicated spaces.

Yes, I take up 2 if I can’t find a wheelchair one. have to be able to have room to pull my chair out.

I am not disabled nor do I claim that it's the same but I hate when people take up family car spaces as then I can't get my baby in&out with her carseat. and even if I find two empty spaces or the (1)

Talk to your management. You're absolutely lovely and I'm sure a good tenant. They'll probably paint you a spot right in front and reserve it for your unit.

I've been recovering from a hemorrhagic stroke and I have started to include accessibility concerns to my annual review because I have learned how bad things are.

I use two sometimes so I can have room to let my husbands ramp out. That’s so frustrating. Maybe they could reserve a spot for you.

I don’t but thanks for the idea. I’m not in a wheelchair but I do have to use DME, that requires extra space to get in & out my car a long with needing accessible entrance to sidewalks.

I have seen people taking up two spaces and always assumed they were just an ass. Sry you had to park that way that far away because it’s your only option
