The two-bedroom structure was handed over to the family five days after A Mohamed visited them at Mon Repos Pasture, East Coast Demerara (ECD) and promised to have a roof over their heads within a week. That promise was kept, and with smiles on their faces, the family can now live a more comfortable life. With a sense of pride and satisfaction, the businessman was happy to once again assist another family out of poverty, but at the same time urged them to ensure their new house was well-kept and, more importantly, never again allow themselves to be in such a situation. The family once lived at a relative’s house but was given notice to move out, and with nowhere to go, they took to social media, calling upon Team Mohamed’s for assistance in providing food, clothing, and shelter. After being made aware of the post, a team travelled to the area and was appalled at the condition in which the family was living. Immediately, a team was mobilized, and construction commenced the following morning.
