@benflipscars: Inspecting A Used Car | Part 3 (Engine Bay) SAVE the video for later, COMMENT with any questions you have and FOLLOW for more on every step of the car flipping process! Check me out on INSTAGRAM & YOUTUBE! Also @ BenFlipsCars When inspecting a used car, I always like to start with the Engine Bay because its safest to check when cold, especially the fluids (none the less use gloves and safety glasses). Thus once we’ve checked it, we’re in the clear to do all other checks that require starting the cars engine. First, make sure the hydraulics actually can hold up the bonnet. How does everything look? Clean or dirty? Naturally should be fairly dirty, but not too gunky. If its insanely clean and shiny, the seller may be trying to hide a leak from you. Use a powerful torch to shine into darker spots of the engine bay to check for leaks, rust and other damage. Check under the engine bay for leaks or drips using your torch. If its a clear watery fluid that doesn’t smell, mostly likely just vapour from the AC. Check all hoses and vacuum lines. Good time to use a small inspection mirror to check behind them and deeper in the engine bay, especially if they look like they could be damaged. No crack rips or tears. Don’t want them dried out either. Check the belt, make sure isn’t frayed or cracked. Should be an even dull black like this one. Should also be tight and have good tension. #benflipscars #benjaminmcshanag #engineinspection #enginebay #inspectingausedcar #inspectingacar #howtoinspectacar #duediligence #researchingacar #carresearch #researchingausedcar #car #cars #carflipping #flippingcars #fixingcars #flippingcarsforprofit #carflippingtips #howtoflipcars #howtoflipcarsforprofit #restoringcars #buyandsellcarsforprofit #buyandsell #buyandsellcars
