I tried it and hated it. Within 2 weeks it was all removed and back to cleaning daily.

I think this is great for smaller flocks and what type of coop you have but once you get over 20 or 30 birds and your doing the deep litter method correctly it isn’t a bad thing

We only use deep litter in winter to keep everyone warmer it works well for us to keep the barn warmer then outside. But we are also in Canada so it gets pretty cold here.

Nope, nope!! I clean mine out at least once every week sometimes if I have time I’ll clean it more often. I just think it’s gross and I want them to have a place to not worry about bugs and rodents

How many bags did you use in this set up? Thinking of doing this but I converted a decently sized shed into a coop and afraid I would need 15+ bags to cover enough area

I think its become an easy go to for many people who don't do it properly. I live in Colorado and when we hit -35 this year the deep litter method

No one ever says where they get it or specifically what kind. Is there a certain brand you can buy from big box stores? Lowe’s, etc? Or somewhere local to you
