I usually peel them steaming hot out of the boiling water. Then get mad and throw them all away. No deviled eggs for Thanksgiving.

Nope. Cracking prior to cooking is not necessary. Just boil them, transfer to a 10 minute ice bath and then use the jar shake method. Easy peasy eggy peely. 🤣🤣
