@zaafirahrehana: me making this tiktok 🥺 the only pic I could find of little me in a hijab lol as a mother and Muslim woman it has never been more real to me that there is a big empty space in this industry. while Muslim girls and women are slowly gaining confidence and taking up that space, we are only at the beginning of it when I think about role models when I was growing up who look like me - nobody comes to mind. and there might be for others, but for me personally, I didn't feel like there was anyone (maybe I just didn't know of them lol) it took a lot of time and mistakes for me to have the knowledge and understanding that I do now, and it's because of that that I STRIVE to not only constantly be own motivation, but become someone for others to look up to. For girls like me who felt alone and isolated I do truly believe this is changing though, and it makes me so happy seeing more Muslim girls and the Asian community breaking out of their comfort zones here’s to taking up space 🤍 #FitTok #GymTok #fitspo
