That paper is from my hometown. A lot of those warnings are written bc we are a town of 5k and supposed to get 200k tourists. We have one real grocery store & 1 lane roads so residents ab influx.

I think it’s because it’s such a rare type of eclipse so there’s going to be a lot of people traveling from all over the country, to one strip of land probably? A lot of people in one spot

We had a solar eclipse a few years back and our town had a half million visitors for a town of 50,000. They start coming in a up to a week before. NASA showed up.

well duh because if 100,000 people are showing up to one spot all the hotels will be full and traffic. imagine the grocery stores with all the people who are wanting to buy food there or even eat out

my town was the place to be during the 2017 eclipse. They warned us about all of this too. Except the national guard. We are a town of 8000. It brought in alot of people but not what they said.

Where I live we are right in the path of the eclipse and our town is going to be experiencing a lot of traverlers that day where all hotels are booked so they close schools because of the crowds

When we had a solar eclipse in my hometown they were flooded with tourist and the roads were extremely congested once it was over. Our drive home usually took us 2.5 hours but took 7-8.

Well I got to say I live in Puerto Rico and back in 2017 of September it was that that first solar eclipse and Puerto Rico suffered a devastating hurricane that was very bad, I think this is bad.

I remember it being a big school event. We would make our box to look through, to see the eclipse. We would be excited for that day at school being outside on the field. Very strange to close schools.
