@honestly.kaitlyn: During the pandemic, women were burdened with the responsibility of balancing work, childcare and home schooling. Over 12 million women left the workforce. Looking back, I am honestly amazed I made it out okay. I almost feel like I was delusional. But I know I had to remain positive because I had no choice. Childcare centers were closed in early 2020 through when I had my second baby. And after my maternity leave ended in late 2020, the waitlists for a good childcare center were about 6-12+ months long. I made it a year and a half working at home with a toddler and a baby and it was truly the most stressful time of my life.
