Also, if you want to get more updates like this, then don't forget to follow @overseasstudentsaustralia Now details for the update is here: 📰 In a landmark decision by Fair Work Commission, more than 200,000 aged care workers are all set to get (some, up to 28.5%) increase in their wages 👩‍⚕️ The wages for these roles will increase: Personal carers - 18% to 28.5% Nursing assistants - 17.9% to 24.5% Home carers - 15% to 26% Support services staff (like laundry hands, cleaners and food services assistants) - 6.8% 📈 These increases will be based on skill levels and qualifications of the personal and home carers. 💼 HSU (Health Services Union) filed a case for a 25% increase for all aged care workers in 2020, and last year the Fair Work Commission handed a 15% increase. ⚠️ Please note that these numbers are inclusive of the 15% previous increase. 👏 The decision has been welcomed by the aged care workers, unions, and aged care facilities. #workinaustralia #internationalstudents #studyinaustralia #Australia #agedcare
